Gcaba to move to Gauteng
move to Gauteng
Ayanda Gcaba, who is linked to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, says he is grateful to Free State Stars owner Mike Mokoena for allowing him to leave.
Even though his next destination is yet to be confirmed, the 26-year-old defender is expected to travel down to the Free State on Wednesday to bid his teammates farewell.
"I spoke to Mr Mokoena and he gave me the green light to go if the offer is right," Gcaba says. "I have been with Free State Stars for four years and I'm grateful that Mr Mokoena has recogonised that and is allowing me to go and face new challenges."
Gcaba has played as both a left-back and central defender at Stars and says he does not mind where he plays at the back.
"I can play both left-back and central defence. There is not much work playing in central defence but I also enjoy myself playing on the left."
