A Call On Air Force Assistance In Tackling Terrorism
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mohammed Dikko Umar, said the Force would offer technical support to West African countries to help them tackle security problems in their countries.
He stated this Saturday during the closing ceremony of the NAF Air Expo 2012 in Kaduna. He said the Force was ready to provide technical support and services to state governments and West African countries, noting that "The help will be on first-come-first-served basis."
In his remarks, Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo called on the Boko Haram sect to cease hostilities and accept the government's offer for dialogue again.
"We are calling on the group to accept government offer of dialogue. Government is committed to addressing insecurity with the urgency it deserves," he said.
