Indian-American college students living in the United States can find scholarship programs through private foundations and professional organizations. Although certain scholarship funds extend eligibility to all minorities, others provide funding only for Indian-American students. Guidelines vary and can require applicants to meet academic limits, hold residency in a specific U.S. state, enroll in a specified field of study or attend a participating university.
The Indian-American Scholarship Fund offers four-, two- and one-year undergraduate Scholarships for Asian-Indian residents in the state of Georgia. The organizations awards funding based on merit, extra-curricular activities and financial need. Candidates must graduate from a Georgia high school and enroll in a four-year university or college. The program does not offer Scholarships for graduate or foreign students. Candidates can download two different applications from the Indian-American Scholarship Fund website, one for merit Scholarships and the other for financial need scholarships. Program guidelines allow each student to submit both types of applications for consideration.
