BlackBerry 10 Smartphones Will Be Delayed Till March 2013
Smartphones Will probably not launch until 2013 according to one analyst
An analyst has revealed that RIM won't be ready to release BlackBerry 10 Smartphones until 2013.
Jefferies analyst Peter Misek wrote 'We had hoped for a January launch but now see a March launch as more likely,' in a note seen by Forbes.
'We think the business uncertainty means parties are unlikely to acquire or license from RIM until BB10 launches,' the analyst added. Not exactly promising insights for what used to be a market leader in smartphones.
Just two weeks ago, Misek told the Wall Street Journal BlackBerry had 'little chance for recovery,' with 'all hope on BB10.'
RIM is careful to stress that its BlackBerry 10 devices Will not be released until they're ready and on this premise, it looks as though there's a fair way to go before they're up to RIM's standards.
BlackBerry 10 is a very big overhaul of the BlackBerry operating system. It looks different, feels different and just works.
However, the company needs to get back some of the fans it lost when it stopped being innovative and the other platforms steamed ahead, even for business applicatins where once on BlackBerry could succeed.
